8 bright pink, cream, and rose red in color Roseate spoonbills, Ajaia ajaja, are arranged in 4 groups of 2 forming a diamond with their bodies and are shown with clumps of mangrove bushes with green leaves with rootlets extending into blue water where a group of four blue shrimp (a main food source) are found in the center in this tropical Everglades nature mandala. These bright pink long legged wading birds have spatulate spoon-shaped bills and shovel and scoop the mud and sand underwater for their food looking for small crustaceans, insects, shrimp, and fish.
