Description

Beneath the sea swimming within flowing streamers of seaweed flames, a school of exquisitely colored and decorated flame painted fish flourish. Swimming together in a fire-inspired seascape from left to right are: 2 white lookdowns with traditional flames in shades of yellow-to-orange-to red pinstriped in process blue, 1 medium blue flame painted filefish with yellow and orange tribal flames pinstriped in process blue, 1 yellow bodied filefish with an upright blue dorsal spine and its multiple fins with light blue flame silhouettes and streaming light blue and navy blue streaming flames pinstriped in orange, 2 green and orange triggerfish with yellow, green, and blue fins and cascading multicolored blue traditional flames pinstriped in yellow, and finally 2 brightly colored full bodied purple, and yellow triggerfish with bright red flames separating the belly from the back and pinstriped in process blue.

Each of the fish above has appeared as subjects in my nature mandala art. A few of the fish were featured on Hawaiian Shirts 15 years ago for the company Paradise on a Hanger.
