Description
8 dark backed sliver king tarpon, Megalops atlanticus, spraying white water while charging after purple tarpon fly fishing flies are presented in this Everglades back water bay nature mandala. I have been to the Everglades a few times fishing for tarpon. The fish chasing begins early before dawn heading out into and under the far reaching cathedral branches of the mangroves in a flat boat in which you have to lie down to deftly navigate through them. On the other side you are met by gleaming pockets of inviting sunlit small bays. Tarpon or "silver kings" will hit your fly with great vigor in the dawn's early light and you must be patient and always READY! They are golden brown backed in these backwaters and light glimmering silver in the open ocean surf.
